ROLLER BLINDS ARE MORE THAN YOU THINK

Roller blinds have come a long way since their inception, and for many, a modern roller blind isn’t quite what they expect.  Let’s explore the features and capabilities of a modern roller blind and discover some of the clever things you can achieve with them.

THE CASSETTE BOX

The traditional roller blind still exists, but the majority of roller blinds we manufacture are encased in a cassette box. This aluminium housing, usually covered in matching fabric to the blind to create a pelmet look, conceals the roller and gives your window an entirely new aesthetic.

MOTORISATION

We offer an incredible range of affordable motorisation options, including the ability to create home automations and control your blinds using your phone. For more information, visit our Motorisation page.

BLING

Adding other aesthetic touches to your blind to create a vastly different look is easy. You can use striking aluminium bottom bars in colours that match your cassette housing, braids, pulls, and shapes. The list is endless.

THE FABRICS

Roller blinds stand out for their bewildering array of materials, including many high-performing fabrics. As an independent manufacturer of roller blinds, we provide four distinct ranges of materials, each offering a slightly different design aesthetic.

TECHNICAL FABRICS

Roller blinds can provide functionality far beyond what you would expect, thanks to clever and technical fabrics that enhance their functionality beyond a traditional roller blind. From screen materials to waterproof materials for bathrooms, rollers offer immense technical flexibility.

DUO ROLLER BLINDS

A duo roller blind is a type of roller blind where we install two blinds in a single aperture. There are various methods for installing duo roller blinds, and we have a dedicated products page that provides information about them and suitable installation locations.

Usually, a duo roller blind is installed in a way that one blind is used during the day for daytime privacy (you can see out of the fabric, but people cannot see in) and the other blind is used at night to close off the window.

Functionality of Roller Blinds

Daytime Privacy
Traditional roller blinds are either up or down, providing limited daytime privacy. However, Duo Rollers offer a day blind option, which can be installed with a Screen or Voile material, enhancing privacy during the day.

Protect items against fading
Traditional roller blinds, which can be raised or lowered, are challenging to use permanently to prevent fading. However, screen fabrics offer a solution to this problem. For more information, please visit our Duo Roller products page.

Glare from the sun
Roller blinds are an excellent solution for dealing with glare because, depending on the height of the sun, you can simply pull down enough of the blind to cover the area that needs it.

Nightime Privacy
These can be fully closed for night.

Thermal Gain (Heat)
Depending on the fabric you choose, roller blinds can be highly effective in reducing heat buildup.

Thermal Loss (Heat loss from inside your house)
Fabric-dependent roller blinds can help reduce heat loss.

Blackout effect for bedrooms
Blackout roller blinds provide sufficient blackout coverage for most individuals. For a comprehensive understanding of your available options for blackout blinds, please visit our Blackout Blinds product page.
